Question Of The Century: Why Won’t My 40gb Ps3 Connect To A Hd Tv With An Hdmi Cable?
I’ve been to Radio Shack, Best Buy, Game Spot and Yahoo Answers once already, and nobody knows why this is happening. If you can answer this question in a way that fixes my problem, you will get a big far gold star.
My PS3 is a year old. It has an HDMI port on the back, but neither a category 1 or category 2 HDMI cable will connect it to my brand new Toshiba 40-inch HD LCD TV. I’ve tried resetting the PS3. I’ve tried manually changing the display settings. I’ve reformatted the system. I’ve tried differet HDMI ports on my TV AND different cables. The PS3 recognizes the HDMI connection, but all I get is a black screen.

What are the best HD TV brands for the best price? For all types, Plasmas, LCDs etc……samsung, sony, vizio, LG etc…??? What do you think? I really need a good TV for a good price, nothing too crazy, maybe a 35-40 inch, and i dont want to spend too much,lol…anything 500 and below i can handle,lol. Thanks!
